Sarmistha Maiti
Sarmistha Maiti (b Dec 1979) is an Indian filmmakers and writers. She is alumnus of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), India and recipient of the National Film Award from the Honourable President of India for the feature length documentary film "At the Crossroads Nondon Bagchi Life and Living" at the 61st National Film Awards, 2013. Sarmistha Maiti has an extensive experience of working as a journalist in two Indian National Dailies - Hindustan Times and the Times of India. She is also a regular contributor as an art-critic to several national magazines on art like "Art & Deal", "Indian Contemporary Art Journal", "Art Etc" and worked as the Managing Editor of www.mattersofart.net (India’s first ezine on art). She has done PG Diploma in Film Editing from SRFTI (2007-10). She works along with her partner Rajdeep Paul and the duo has written and directed several documentary films, short fiction films, PSA, Animation and New Media films etc. They have worked with both international and national producers of repute like PBS & ShowOfForce, USA, Native Voices, UK, Films Divisison, Doordarshan, Prasar Bharti & Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Aurora Film Corporation, Krish Movies etc from India. They have recently formed their production company Triambigram Arts. Their debut feature film script “The Biryani Seller” has undergone mentorship in the first edition of Mumbai Mantra Cinerise Screenwriting Programme 2014-15 from the likes of Michael Radford, Audrey Wells, Sebastian Cordero, Sriram Raghavan and Anjum Rajabali, and the film is being directed by both of them and produced by Mahesh Mathai of Highlight Films and was one of the 18 official selections in NFDC Film Bazaar Co-Production Market 2016.

Rajdeep Paul (b. Sep 1981) is Indian filmmakers and writers. Rajdeep Paul has worked as a Software Engineer in Infosys Technologies Ltd, India before coming to films. He has done PG Diploma in Screenplay writing and Direction from SRFTI (2007-10) and published two books in 2013 : “3 on a Bed – Contemporary Indian Novellas” co-written with Sarmistha Maiti, published by Bunsen Books and epic fantasy novel “Davyaprithvi: Heaven on Earth” published by Aether Books.
